Upbit's English-language review footprint is tiny for an exchange of its size. The upbit.com Trustpilot profile holds only a handful of reviews, low-scored and mostly from overseas applicants who could not complete verification, so it says more about the residency wall than about the trading experience. Korean app-store ratings and community forums, where the real customer base lives, are the better mirror, and there Upbit is treated as the default exchange: fast, deep, and the place prices are quoted.
The praise is consistent: the app is quick, the won order books are the deepest in the world, and listings move markets. The complaints are equally consistent. Order lag and app slowdowns during Korean volatility spikes, withdrawal holds after a fresh deposit, delistings that catch holders off guard, and, after November 2025, the hot-wallet breach that froze deposits and withdrawals while Upbit investigated.
None of those complaints are available to a customer without a K Bank account to have, because the account cannot be opened. Anytime Capital's reviews come from the 8,000-plus trades it has completed in dollars, and the answer to a stalled order is a phone number, not a ticket in another language.
